Industry by the Highway, Plazas on the Main Road

Stoney Creek became part of Hamilton in 2001, but it still has its own character and its own BIA. Below the escarpment, the industrial area between the QEW and the rail lines, along Arvin Avenue and the South Service Road, is packed with manufacturers, steel processors, food producers and trades. Highway 8 and Centennial Parkway carry the area's plazas, car dealers, restaurants and offices, and upper Stoney Creek on the Mountain has grown fast with new neighbourhoods and the businesses that serve them.

We clean industrial units, offices and plaza businesses throughout Stoney Creek. Phone 289 803 4495 to have us visit the unit.

Working in Stoney Creek

Industrial buildings near the QEW range from small multi-unit buildings with a shop and office in each unit to large single-tenant plants. Those small units keep our Stoney Creek crews busy: a lunchroom, one or two washrooms, an office and a shop floor, cleaned once or twice a week after the last shift.

Highway 8 plazas are busy through the day and into the evening, so cleaning usually happens late at night or before opening. Car dealerships along the corridor need showroom floors and glass that look right first thing in the morning.

Upper Stoney Creek has newer plazas with clinics, daycares and fitness studios, and they get their own scopes and schedules.

Multi-unit industrial buildings often house tenants with very different hours: a machine shop on two shifts next to a distributor working days and a contractor who's out on jobs most of the week. Each unit gets its own schedule, and units in one building are grouped on a single visit when their hours allow. Plants along the QEW also deal with dust from production and from the trucks and rail lines nearby, which settles on office windows and sills. Glass and dusting go on a regular rotation, and lunchrooms and washrooms get the most attention because every worker uses them. Salt season adds extra work at every door.
