Where Hamilton's Heavy Industry Works

The Bayfront Industrial Area stretches along the south shore of Hamilton Harbour and covers about 3,700 acres, much of it steel and heavy manufacturing. The Port of Hamilton, run by the Hamilton-Oshawa Port Authority, operates along the same waterfront, from the far end of Eastport Drive west to Pier 10. Around the mills and docks are fabricators, terminals, recyclers, warehouses and service companies of every size.

Heavy industry is out of our scope. What we clean is the support space: plant offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, change rooms, locker rooms and the floor areas between them. In this part of the city those rooms take more wear than almost anywhere else. Call 289 803 4495 to book a site walk-through.

Working in the Bayfront

Bayfront sites are strict about safety, and they should be. Our crews wear the PPE your site requires, take your orientation, sign in at the gate, follow escort rules and stay clear of any area under lock-out or marked restricted. Your site lead keeps track of each site's rules and briefs anyone new before their first shift.

Dust and grit are the main cleaning challenge here. Workers bring them into lunchrooms and change rooms every shift, and they drift into offices. We focus on the walk-off route from the floor to the support rooms: mats, entrances, corridors, then the rooms themselves, with machine scrubbing on a rotation.

Most Bayfront operations run two or three shifts, so lunchrooms and change rooms are cleaned in the changeover gap, with bigger jobs saved for weekends or planned shutdowns.

The Bayfront's scale is a factor too. Large sites can have several gatehouses, separate buildings for offices and change houses, and long walks or drives between them. We map the route through your site at the walk-through, agree where the crew parks and keeps its cart, and plan the order of rooms so nothing is left waiting at the end of a shift gap. Smaller North End operations, such as fabricators, terminals and service yards, often need only a few visits a week to their lunchroom, washrooms and office. They get the same safety approach as the big plants, scaled to a smaller crew and a shorter list of rooms.

Bayfront & North End Cleaning Questions

Do your cleaners wear our site PPE?

Yes. Crews wear whatever your site requires, from safety boots and glasses to hi-vis and hard hats, and complete your site orientation before starting.

Can you clean change rooms between shifts?

Yes. We time the clean to the gap between one shift leaving and the next arriving, and size the crew so it's done in that window.
